Management & Team Leading Qualifications

Our management & team leading qualifications are for learners who work in management roles such as Section Manager, First Line Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainee Manager, Senior Supervisor and Junior Non-Commissioned Officer. It gives learners the opportunity to:

  1. Develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above. This includes principles of equality, diversity and inclusion, the principles of leadership and management and the principles of people management.

  2. Develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that support competence in the job roles stated above. This includes managing personal and professional development, supporting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and managing team and individual’s performance.

  3. Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS).

  4. Have their existing skills recognised by attaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Recognition:
Our qualifications in Management and Team Leading are awarded by Pearson or EAL and have been accredited by the regulators of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ofqual, the Welsh Government and CCEA), and are part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). They are supported by Asset Skills, the Sector Skills Council for the places where we live and work.

NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Management
NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Management
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Management

Entry Requirements:
Learners MUST be in employment, working in a management or team leading based role. Ideally, candidates will have 5 GCSE’s (grade C or above) and/or have previously completed an NVQ programme of study.

Course Duration:
On average, it takes approximately 12-24 months to complete; however quicker completion is possible but dependant upon the committment put in by the learner.

It is unrealistic to assume that the level 3 qualification can be completed in less than 10 months and unrealistic to assume that the level 4 and 5 qualifications can be completed in less than 15 months.

Course Delivery:
As well as receiving practical training in the work place, it will involve off the job training for the underpinning knowledge required for the NVQ and Essential Skills elements of the qualification, as identified in the framework. Off the job training will be provided by Vivisum Solutions; however this does not necessarily mean participants will have to leave their place of work. We have a flexible approach to learning and will come to the participant to complete all necessary assessments. This will be discussed and decided between the participant, the employer and Vivisum staff during the initial consultation.
